Harvesting of funds and books by the BDE of EPP Paris

EPP Emergenpsy BDE organized a great week in honor of ON'TAPA where all students at the school were invited to bring books for ON'TAPA's neighborhood library construction project. The project is being built near Benin’s capital city of Cotonou.

In the middle of the week, pancakes, fried plantains and Beninese donuts were sold to raise funds. 

Thank you to them and to all EPP students who have been involved in this project.

ON'TAPA is delighted to sign a new partnership with Montessori School "Secrets d'Enfance" in Vernouillet. All members of the school first worked to make a beautiful Christmas market with crafts made by the students, a beautiful choir, and beautiful bags also decorated by the students. Their Christmas Market was a huge success and brought in a large number of donations for the organization.

But this partnership does not stop there; the pupils of "Secrets d'Enfance", in Vernouillet, and the pupils of "La Maison des Enfants Donatin", in Benin, will correspond by letters and drawings at the beginning of September. All students are eager to learn more about their future penpals!

The innovative teaching methods presented at the school "La Maison des Enfants Donatin" inspired Lucette, the manager of the Augustine Goussanou-Saï reception center (an orphanage). 

Until then, several children from this center were welcomed at "Donatin Children's House", but the center having had to move, the journey for these children had become too complicated to do several times a day. Lucette then decided to open a new school inspired by Montessori methods in another district, several kilometers from Cotonou, to offer the possibility to all the orphans of the center as well as other children of the district to benefit from this education. 

We committed to helping build this school and have become partners in the hope of spreading this new wave of learning throughout the country.

In order to raise funds, ON'TAPA made a partnership with Fantastico Roller-Disco and together, these two structures organized several Roller Disco evenings by offering skate rental services in exchange for free donations from the participants. These first nights, offered in various "trendy" places have had a real success. A guaranteed atmosphere all night long!

This year, we are delighted to have welcomed many new volunteers who have helped the association during various events to raise funds for ON'TAPA to enable the realization of its projects.

The BDE Agenpsy of the School of Psychologists Practitioners of Paris organized, in honor of the holidays of end of the year, a Christmas market within their school in order to reap sufficient funds to sponsor children. Goal achieved ; all the students were delighted to offer Miracle, a Beninese child, the opportunity to benefit from the education offered by "Donatin Children's House" and Miracle is very happy with her schooling at this school.

Last year, we set up a vegetable garden at the school "La Maison des Enfants Donatin" for a sustainable project. Indeed, this one has different aims: to teach the children the sciences of the nature as well as the culture of vegetables and fruits (every day of the week, a different class comes to cultivate the vegetable garden) and to make savings by eating these fresh and healthy fruits and vegetables in the school canteen.
